KLM Airlines: Care-E

With a scan of a boarding pass, Care-E, a self-driving luggage trolley, guides KLM passengers from airport security to their gate. Care-E can seamlessly wander through crowded airport hallways autonomously and knows to redirect routes when gate changes and cancellations happen. Care-E’s emotive, non-verbal sounds and faces make this robot not only a helpful experience but also an emotional personal interaction.

Our role on this project included all developing all the internal electronics and control software, in addition to an accompanying web app that allowed user's to take control of Care-E's destinations. We worked closely with KLM, 10xBeta, and BBDO to create a robot that is both functional and engaging.
